Canon PowerShot G12 excel in its test

I’m sure Canon is no stranger when it comes to cameras. Their PowerShot series are miniature wonders, especially those that starts with a ‘G’. For those who can’t stand the weight of a DSLR and don’t really know how to handle them, then you should seriously consider this new G12 from Canon. This $499 camera is the successor of the G11, and it still make use of the previous 10-Megapixel sensor behind the exact same 5x zoom lens, and even has the exact same suite of full manual controls. But this time, as with nearly all cameras in 2010, it shall come with a 720p recording that can handle 24fps. What’s great here is the arrival of a stereo mic, about time for HD age. Another new trick up their sleeves is the introduction of HDR mode, where they stitch together three photos with 3 different exposure settings to make those absolutely stunning photos.
