Not sure why this dude is doing it, but here’s a toast artist Nathan Wyburn doing the ‘toast art’ in front of a newly opened Costa Coffee on Watling Street with giant celebrity portraits, literally on pieces of toasts. Heck, I didn’t even know there’s such thing as a ‘toast artist’. The dude’s a young Welsh artist from Ebbw Vale, has created a series of celebrity portraits with jam and marmite. Let’s just hope the toasts will still be there tomorrow morning, because there’s just too many suspects.

It seemed like Microsoft is always in battle, in and out of court. It’s been quite a few months since we last hear of any major developments in Microsoft’s patent battle with Toronto-based i4i Inc. over Microsoft Word. Now, The Wall Street Journal reports that the US Supreme Court has today agreed to hear Microsoft’s appeal in the case that dealt it $290 million in damages and prevented it from selling versions of Word that contained the allegedly infringing technology. This case actually comes down to the basis of legal standard for determining the validity of a patent. What’s the use of a patent if it cannot protect the creator? Anyway, this will still continue to be a long case, as the court is expected to hear the case sometime next year.

When Buffalo says gaming keyboard, they don’t literally mean fancy gaming keyboard with blinking LED and super macro keys. Their idea of gaming keyboard is a keyboard that’s compatible with the latest game consoles such as PS3 and Nintendo Wii. The latest gaming keyboard from Buffalo is the BSKBC02BK. The keyboard adopts simultaneous multiple key recognition technology, and comes with 109 keys, with a USB 2.0/1.1 connection interface. The Buffalo BSKBC02BK will begin shipping in Japan from mid-December for 3,300 Yuan (about $39).

Probably something that some teen with nothing better to do during summer did in their ‘nothing-better-to-do’ summer. They could have taken the time to make Porsche cars facing identity crisis, but instead they go and do this. I’d say that beatboxing is something strictly understandable only for human, and in a very limited number. But now, Google goes and perfect the art of beatboxing with their Google Translate. Funny translation in Google Translate? That’s so yesterday. Now we all go Gaga over Google’s beatboxing in their translation tool. Head to site, select German to German translation, paste in the following bit of gibberish, and press the listen button.

Yes, you’re not limited to this string of notes. Nobody’s stopping you from creating your own beatboxing rhythm now since you’ve got your starting notes. Writing a music score on a paper? That’s so grade 5 of year 1995. Kids these days write songs using Google!

Looks like 2011 will be the year Tegra 2 finally makes some presence. Recent leaks out of LG and Motorola certainly suggest that Nvidia’s finally going to make some inroads with its silicon somewhere around the Gingerbread or Honeycomb time frame. But it seemed Tegra 2 phones will make appearance as soon as next month if a Facebook’s comment is to be believed. Read more…

In an interview over the weekend of Thanksgiving, Crytek CEO Cevat Yerli stated a fact PC gamers already know quite well: the PC is a whole generation ahead of the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. While PC gamers might win this round, the victory comes with a price: developers are primarily focusing on consoles, thus this might result in holding back game quality of the PC versions, as they’re ‘lazy’ to optimize it specially for the PC platform, whereas ‘porting’ is easier.
