Samsung introduce 16:10 monitors with DisplayPort, looks dull

The slightly dated 16:10 monitors have been missing in the market ever since everyone got hyped up by HD resolutions and HDMI in their monitors. But now, Samsung is back to give you a 16:10 monitor. It’s like jumping back one generation. Time machine anyone? But then there’s the presence of DisplayPort, so you can’t really say you’re going backward.
The 16:10 monitors are TCO 5.0 certified featuring D-sub, DVI, and DisplayPort connectivity perfect for the office. The 22-inch SyncMaster 2243DW sports a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and a 5 millisecond response time, while the 24-inch SyncMaster 2443DW sports a dynamic contrast ratio of 70,000:1. Available for €269 ($378) and €329 ($460) respectively. They’ll be available in Europe later this month, and some other parts following suit.
