Panasonic's DMR-BF200 stuffs hard drive and Blu-ray burner into a standing fashion

Panasonic has just officially launched their latest Blu-ray recorder, which they stated as Earth’s smallest Blu-ray recorder, if there’s any in Jupiter, or Mar Sara. This fashionable Blu-ray recorder was previously introduced as a concept, and is now finally making its way into retail stores for ¥70,000 ($861) in black or white. Purchasable in Japan starting in November 15th, so if you’re in Japan, grab it!

This is simply an external hard drive with a slot-loading Blu-ray burner baked in, but it’s not that simple as you may think. It’s capable of streaming DLNA content, interface with your other VIERA Link equipment, output content via HDMI and even access acTVila (a Japanese video-on-demand service, much like your Astro). Users can also toss in an SD card for watching flicks stored on more portable media, and most anything housed on the 320GB internal hard drive can be toasted on BD-R/RE for playback elsewhere. One thing to mention is that it does not support Blu-ray 3D and BDXL. So much for fashionable stuff huh?
