Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept lights up the stage of Paris Motor Show
It’s been a while since Lamborghini introduce a new model to their rather short list of cars. No, I don’t consider the one-off Reventon to be part of the main lineup, since it’s so limited. Lamborghini has said some time ago that the Gallardo and Murcielago will see their end-of-life very soon, as Lamborghini refreshes their design cues and introduce the new Sesto Element Concept, which will showcase the future design cues of Lamborghini’s new replacement for the Gallardo and Murcielago. Of kush, this new Sesto Element Concept, which has been named after the sixth element of the periodic table, will have a big shoe to fill, with such classics as the Miura, Countach, Diablo and Murcielago, Gallardo and Reventon each holding its well-earned place in the annals of supercardom. The Sesto Element Concept is officially unveiled at an evening event held by the Volkswagen Group in Paris.
Now, the Sesto Element is heavily designed based on carbon fiber material. Even the tailpipes have been fashioned from a sort of composite called Pyrosic that is able to withstand extremely high temperatures. Those high exhaust temperatures will be exhaled by a V10 engine that’s putting out a stonkin’ 570 horsepower. With just 2,200 pounds of weight to move, the run to 60 will take less than 2.5 seconds. I can imagine how beast this thing will be when it gets into production.
