Logitech intros Z623 2.1 speaker system, demands more ‘coz’ of the THX logo

When it comes to sound, it’s very subjective to judge which speaker system is the best. Thought I think many would agree that the Logitech Z5500 would be among the best surround speaker system out there. Now they’ve launched yet another new speaker with THX certification, the Z623 2.1 speaker system.
This simplistic 2.1 setup comes complete with a pair of mobile satellites and a ported subwoofer, both magnetically sealed. Logitech’s marketing this as the perfect setup for PC users and bedroom home theatres, maybe some living room too, and it’s including RCA / 3.5mm input sockets along with an inbuilt headphone jack. All told, you’re getting 200 watts (RMS) of power, and we’re guessing that prominent THX logo factors into the $149.99 asking price. That 200 watts RMS is actually identical to Logitech’s dated Z2300, which is also THX certified. So we expect similar bass quality over there. However, I personally think that the Z2300’s bass is somewhat overpowering its treble. Coming this September, this Z623 will blast you away (according to Logitech at least).
