There we have it, yet another hardware memory company jumping into the booming market of SSD, with the help of SandForce’s speedy NAND controller. Mushkin has added yet another new model to its Callisto deluxe SSD line-up, which has 40GB capacity. Just like its predecessors, this 2.5-inch SSD is also equipped with the latest SandForce SF-1200 controller, a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface (sorry no 6.0 Gbps here), a MTBF of 2 million hours, up to 50,000 IOPS of random write performance and promises to deliver read and write speeds of up to 285MB/s and 275MB/s respectively.

The 40GB Callisto deluxe SSD is currently available in Europe for 108 Euro (about $137) and comes bundled with a 2.5-inch to 3.5-inch adapter.
