Dell ships new 10.1-inch Mini 1018 netbook with a sexy black

Here we have yet another entry to the crowded market of netbooks. Dell has just unleashed their latest Inspiron Mini 1018, which takes design cue from the Inspiron R series.

The Mini 1018 is powered by Intel’s latest Atom processor N455 with 1.66GHz of juice. The 10.1-inch WSVGA screen still uses the 1,024 x 600 resolution. The obvious changes would be the usage of 1GB DDR3 memory instead of the good ol’ DDR2, besides the implementation of 802.11n Wi-Fi. Other typical suspects would be 250GB hard drive and inbuilt webcam. The body has been coated with a sexy fresh Obsidian Black paint. It’s already available now in most regions at a price of $450 (£279 for UK), and ‘coming soon’ for the rest of the world.

Well, atlest computers keep getting cheaper. Though if this trend to smaller and cheaper computers continues I don’t know what we are going to do with mini smart phones.
