Microsoft to heavily focus on games for Windows Phone 7

Windows Phone 7 has yet to be launched, and it’s already making a big noise in the tech scene. In Gamescon, Microsoft has announced that they will be throwing in more than fifty Xbox Live games into Windows Phone 7. This clearly shows that Microsoft is taking Windows Phone 7 as a serious contender to the Android and iOS, gaming wise at least. However, how many games will be available during launch is not mentioned.

This means that you will not only be able to connect your Windows Phone 7 to your Xbox account, but you’ll also be experiencing new Xbox on-the-go. At least that’s what Microsoft is hoping for. Games that will join in the Xbox for Windows Phone 7 are like Assassin’s Creed, Guitar Hero 5, Halo Waypoint, Splinter Cell Conviction, Star Wars and even Crackdown 2: Project Sunburst.

Microsoft is also bringing a ‘mobile game’ Marketplace accesses for you to search for games, try, and purchase in record times. All this will be done in real cash, not the infamous MS Points though. Achievements will also go mobile, and you will be able to view, track or win new achievements directly from your Windows Phone 7. A chat system will also be implemented to allow you to directly message among your Windows Phone 7 and XBOX Live friends. Finally, some games will be available in Co-op or multiplayer mode, you will be able from your phone to invite friends to a party or join any of your friends already playing online.
