NEC’s new monitor is eco-friendly.

Eco-friendly has been the ‘in-thing’ for some time now, as everyone is so obsessed with ‘Green-products’. Not that it’s a bad thing, and I won’t complain if the new product can actually save some pounds off my monthly bills. NEC’s new monitor has those all over it. Their latest Full HD monitor ‘MultiSync E231W’ is labeled as eco-friendly. This 23-inch LED-backlit monitor is compliant with Energy Star 5.0, TCO 5.0 and EPEAT Gold, and consumes 40% less energy compared to conventional CCFL-backlit LCD monitors.
Not only that, it also provides 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, 25,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness, 5ms response time and comes with VGA, DVI and DisplayPort connectors. Sounds like back then when all the monitors and mouse and keyboard and whatever is slapped with the ‘Build for Vista’ or ‘Vista Ready’ gimmicks. Well the monitor is all your for €299 ($390) and might help you save some on your bills too!
