Jetway wants to invdate your living room with their new nettop

Overtaking Asus in hitting the shelves first with a dual-core Atom D525 nettop, Jetway’s new JBC600C99-52W nettop (what a mouthful) seemed like a Wi-Fi router that can do more than just networking. The heart’s a new Atom D525 with 1.8GHz speed and 1MB of L2 cache. This is no ordinary Atom processor, as spec wise it’s a dual-core Atom with HyperThreading (HT) which means you’ll be seeing 4 threads in your windows.

The graphic is powered by Nvidia’s ION2 graphics which means this baby will easily play any HD movies for you. Besides that there’s also gigabit Ethernet, and 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi. But the funny thing is, Jetway’s not providing any memory nor storage, so it’s BYO DDR2 and storage. Well, at least the price’s putting up with this rather ridiculous package. With $270 selling price, you’ll surely have some little room left in your budget to get those missing pieces.

ASUS has yet to make the EeeBox EB1501P official, with its new dual-core Atom D525 internals, and the price for being tarrying is being beaten to the punch. Jetway (who previously took a little inspiration  from the Wii in its case designs), is launching the sensually titled JBC600C99-52W nettop, with a D525 processor running at 1.8GHz, ION2 graphics, gigabit Ethernet, and 802.11b/g/n WiFi. No memory whatsoever is included, so it’s BYO DDR2 and storage, but a price of $270 should leave at least a little room in your budget to meet those needs.
