Not the smartest method, but it still works. The Cyglo Tyres which recently got patented, uses embedded LEDs in the tire threads, literally, will turn your wheels into two perfect circles of neon bling bling.

Cyglo Tyre, a UK company founded by James Tristram, embeds LEDs directly into the tire tread (as opposed to, say, the spokes) where the lights are powered by the circular motion of the tire itself. Tristam sees his light-up wheels as an “unprecedented safety measure.” Surely you’ll have the attention of many road users while you cycle at night. Just don’t let them gaze till so dizzy that they actually knock you down.

The Cyglos, formerly Night Bright Tyres, are yet to be manufactured, though the company was awarded the patent for their design in February and secured funding in April. Embedded LED in the tyres, somehow I think that they will be bloody expensive to replace once the threads worn out.
