Prototype Protoss Safety Helmet will alert you of your injury level

We all know that safety helmets are meant to protect us from harm, but one should also know that you’re still prone to injury even when you’re wearing the ‘invincible’ hat. But now, there’s a new ‘hat’ that will tell you you’re bleeding, and how deep is your wound and injury, when you get into some sort of accident.
Students over at Northeastern University have been researching a safety helmet that not only protects your head, but also monitors the severity of injuries of your hat. According to Inhabitat, the Head Impact Detection and Alert System is a helmet lined with sensors that measures acceleration and displays the severity of impact on an LCD screen. If the head bump isn’t too bad, the screen flashes green, but if the force of impact is severe, the screen flashes red, warning you that you really need medical attention.
The helmet is still a prototype under development with help from the ‘Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and X-ray specialists. Hopefully we will see such nifty tricks being implemented instead of just a draft research. Could be very useful for footballers, to extreme athletes, even soldiers, who know? But I’m sure the helmet will look sort of like an alien helmet.
