The Buffalo is penetrating the fruit market with their Dualie dock.

Buffalo, the famous brand when it comes to digital storage and external hard disks, has launched a product for the Apple iPhone. Looks like everyone is serious about the iPhone’s market opportunity. That’s where the Buffalo Dualie portable hard drive steps in.
Buffalo has prepared a docking station that doubles as a data swapping/sharing device for iPhone users. But it’s not restricted to only iPhone, as there’s adapters for your iPod Touch or regular iPod, courtesy of the thoughtful Buffalo. The docking station comes with 500GB hard drive, and has connectivity of USB2.0 and FireWires 800.

Brushed with aluminum two-tone finish, it sure won’t let your classy iPhone looks bad and lose its class when docked. The 500GB hard drive is pre-formatted for Mac users, but Windows users can also use a Buffalo utility (available free for download at their website) to convert it into Windows format. Oddly there’s no mention of support for iPhone 4. Another weird thing of the product is the missing of FireWire port on the dock itself, so if you’d like to utilize the speedy FireWire 800, you’ll have to hock up the hard drive directly to the computer.
Price is rather steep too, at $150, which isn’t all that wow for a 500GB drive these days. But then it’s exclusive for your Mac and iPhone, so of kush it comes with some exclusive price. At least you’re getting a quality product that will surely work well with your Apple iDevice. Sad thing that there’s no mention of charging your iPhone while docking it. Irony.
