Zemno’s DeskBook Pro dock compliments your MacBook’s ports for a price.

It has been many years since notebooks are invented. But only recent times did notebook sales surpass desktop. These few years, the sales of notebooks have been sky high, surpassing its counterpart desktop. What’s more with the introduction of netbooks last year? More and more people are getting notebooks and netbooks for its compactness and portability, yet having near identical functions of a desktop. But there’s always the lack of ample storage and copious amounts of USB and other ports from notebooks. That’s where docking stations come in.
Introducing the DeskBook Pro dock from Zemno, it gives you all the necessary ports, and some extras, for the price of another ‘reasonably’ priced Windows-based notebook. Targeted at Apple MacBook users, but is compatible with nearly every notebook around the world.
Typical docking station for notebooks, its giving quite a lot. 7 USB ports (USB 2.0 I presume), 1 x Firewire 400 port, 1 x DVI output, 1 x eSATA data connection, 1 x eSATA power connection, stereo audio in & out, and integrated memory card reader. There’s also something called ‘ModBays’ in the front, which can be filled with extra hard drives and batteries (only to power the dock and some small devices like the iPod) for a price.
Price wise, it’s not that sounding really. Price starts at $599.99 for the beautiful aluminum docking and another $179.99 for the optional 500GB ModBay hard drive. The additional ModBay battery module cost $149.99. Sure looks pricey for me. But what’s there to ask for, for a beautiful docking station to compliment your MacBook Pro.
