Farmville invading your 7-11 with bread and jams!

When virtual gaming gets out of hand, this is something that surely has never happened before. Farmville is getting ready to invade your nearest 7-Eleven with the effort of a cross promotion from both sides of company. So expect to see some Farmville groceries made from real cows, not virtual ones, at your nearest 24-hours convenience store retailing these exclusive items from the flash game brand. But you can’t buy them with your farm coins! So stop getting pumped up on stealing more crops from your neighbors because you can’t use those looted coins!
But you’re not only getting some bread and butter, as there’s some gifts tagging along the package. What you’re getting? Well, some water towers, a cow, a sandwich cart, a tree, a swimming pool and other items all come with certain purchases of 7-Eleven items once the promotion begins. They’re also schlepping stuff for Yoville, Mafia Wars and other Zynga properties. There’s a “playbook” outlining how all this stuff will be placed and sold; someone really fond of exclamation points posted it at FarmVille Freak.com.
It’s a historical moment, really. It’s the first time ever an online game gets its own brand on a grocery store. Surely this will encourage more game developers to produce their own branded products along the way. Like the Starcraft dinner menu.
