Need some bananas to bite? Then look for this vending machine!

How the Japanese think is always out of my league. The things that they come out with usually will blow us away. While other countries might rely on vending machines mostly for beverage distribution, which is very common globally, in Japan it seems you can get almost anything from them. They seemed to have thrown in nearly everything they can find into the vending machine, besides the kitchen sink. Now this amazing list has included fresh bananas thanks to Dole’s new machine which is installed in an underground connection at the Shibuya subway station.
Apparently the vending machine sold out on its first day, but that seemed to be vital anyway as once those bananas start to brown up I doubt anyone will be that interested to insert some dimes for this fast and healthy snack. Particularly when a single banana is about $1.50 (130 yen) and a bunch of five or six is almost $4.50. (390 yen) Not exactly VERY cheap, but it does the job of ‘healthy food on the go’. The most interesting news is that it received a good response from the public. But then, if it does not sold out itself in the megalopolis that is totally flooded by millions of people every day, then you can really consider to ‘close shop’ immediately.
