This is absolutely amazing… how did you do that? So clever! Maybe you should consider paint on your hand as well (just kidding). But seriously very astonishing, thanks for sharing!

Did you make a photo of the hand holding a piece of white paper and then photoshop the drawing onto it later?

Very nice (esp. the 4-eyed cat makes you dizzy), would make a cool demo material for Microsoft Research SecondLight project (search for it on YouTube)

In some pics, the hand looks like it’s been Photoshoped in.

And for instance, in the one of the atom monument (spheres), there’s a clear shadow under both hand and paper, meaning either the photo was taken of the hand holding the paper over a printed photo, or for some reason, the hand had a drop shadow effect added to it when placed digitally into the shot. This would also mean that the drawing could have been traced (carbon copied) from the original picture, answering how in the hell you get such perfectly matching perspectives between photo and drawing.

Nevertheless, this series is very fresh and pleasing to the eye. Great for some ad campaign (like someone mentioned before). A very graphic and appealing concept.

Adding to my previous observations. Notice that the trolly’s power feed (vertical bar that looks like an antennae) is present in both picture and drawing… so, the train stood still (with passengers) while the guy drew the picture? Don’t think so, again, drawn OVER a print, not in a real environment.

Third picture, how in the hell is he holding the paper so perfectly that if fits seamlessly with the background city, when it seems to just be magically attached to the tip of his thumb.

The lighting on the goat comes from behind it, yet the hand is illuminated from the front, you could argue a flash, but then the goat would also be affected by that light source.

Again, maybe the point is just the final effect, but then this should be under Photomanipulations and not under Photography. Just a suggestion.
