IBM And FujiFilm Develop 35TB Data Tape

IBM and FujiFilm have spent about 3 years time to achieve this new record in areal data density on linear magnetic tape. They have successfully recorded data on that dual-coat barium ferrite prototype magnetic tape with a density of 29.5 billion bits per square inch, which are 39 times denser than the current magnet. The companies did not say when are they going to shipped out this 35TB data type.
