Apple iPhone as Universal TV Remote

Now you can turn your iPhone or iPhone Touch into a universal remote via ThinkFlood RedEye system. It work through a dock which communicate with your iPhone via WiFi, creating the infrared (IR) signal to your AV components. Priced at $188.

I already had my universal remote in my old symbian Nokia 3650. My friend use it to turn off the TV in the public place like cafe where they are watching football match, then you can hear everyone shouting. That’s a bad idea.

Check it RedEye in action after the break.

Hm.. This seems suspiciously like the idea that Google has released for their Android phones. Coincidence? Apple seems to just be playing catch-up with them..
