Google actually uses dessert to codenamed their Android release. Cupcake was 1.5 and Donut was 1.6 and the new one Éclair is expected to be 2.0. The Android team puts out giant sculpture to correspond the software’s release. Google hasn’t made any announcements for the 2.0, when the big Donut was shown in front of Google back in September the developer release was out within a few days. Now the Éclair was shown, it looks like will be seeing Android 2.0 soon. The Motorola’s upcoming Droid is expected to be the first mobile phone to ship with Android 2.0.
