The LOLriokart is a creation by MIT student Charles Guan. It took him a year and $300 to build. The cart is powered by nickel-cadmium batteries and can boosts up to 25mph. According to Guan’s math, the cart could have gone 45mph but that’s a little risky so he switched to a smaller motor spockret which cuts the rate at which the chain turns the rear axle.
