SID 2009 in San Antonio, Samsung Mobile Display (SMD) has showed out its new prototype of 6.5 inch AMOLED screen. It is a new screen with more flexibility than its predecessors and comes with a response time that is 1000 times faster than a standard LCD. SMD sees many applications that can be used with AMOLED such newspaper, epaper, e-passport, military maps, and many more. It is still under development, no idea when is its commercial release.
