This is the Dualshock Vortex a controller concept for Sony Playstation by Tamar Fleisher. It has 45 degrees rotation motion to each direction.
“Most of the more dedicated gamers said when asked about motion sensing that it’s a lot of fun but not very compatible for competitive skill battle games since the technology isn’t very accurate.”
