World’s Fastest Truck – 36, 000 Horsepower

This is the triple jet-engine truck called the Shockwave. It is holds the Guinness record for the world’s fastest truck. It is powered by the three Pratt & Whitney J34-48 engines, which are used in the U.S. Navy’s T2A Buckeye plane which produces 36,000 horsepower and achieving a top speed of 376 mph (605 kph). It takes 400 gallons per mile during the race and each tire sheds 85 pounds of tread. The Shockwave boosts from 0 to 300 mph in just 11 seconds. Check it out after the jump.
