A home automation specialized company called Lagotek has come out with an application which uses the iPhone or the iPod Touch to control the home automation system such as lights, climate, audio, video surveillance, blinds/curtains. It is based on the SideShow, a Microsoft technology that is generally in use on the laptops which gives access to emails and messages when the computer is in sleep mode.

Lagotek is using the HIP (user created macros states of the home) to have the high-level control of their home.
