Maybe some tires are spike-proof so this time even spike-proof tires can’t run off these. Researchers have developed the net-based Vehicle Arresting System called the “X-Net”, which can be deployed in less than 20-seconds. It’s non-lethal (barbed spike design) and can handle vehicles weighing over 10,000kg. It is being tested by military currently at checkpoints to stop getaway cars. Video after the jump.
