hiREC has won a Silver Award at the Samsung Young Design Awards. It was designed by Andrea Vecera. hiREC is a shopper’s, grocer’s, and chef’s best friend. It is a device that reads out sell-by-dates, nutritional information, food intolerances, and recipes. Just place the food on the device and the correlate information will display on the touchscreen interface. The system can work for medicine too.
