Honda Accord Ad (The World’s Costliest Ad)

Honda has released a commercial for the limited edition Honda Accord using the falling-dominoes concept. There’s only six of this hand-made Honda Accord in the world. They said that this film has no computer graphic or digital graphics and the film actually took 606 takes. On the first 605 takes, there’s a minor mistake so didn’t work and they set up the whole thing again. The film took three months to complete and altogether cost 6.2 million dollars to make, for a two minutes commercial. It has been claimed as the world’s costliest ads. Video after the jump.
Somehow, I still don’t quite believe that there’s now CG use in the film, as you see the rolling wheels part, the wheels actually moving up the ramp. But maybe it’s real.

Here is a follow up video on the behind the scenes how they did it:

Also, on the tires going up hill, I was told they were weighted and counter balanced, so when the tire was touched it was able to travel up hill for that short distance.
