There are rumors saying that there will be a new version of PS2 coming out in US 2008. It is said to go for $99 per unit. This new compact version of PS2 will be internally powered which means no external power brick, allowing Sony to cut the manufacturing costs. It will also allow the console to use up to 25% less power. Well, it’s still rumors, don’t get too excited.
