Bicycle with Sound System

Wow! I didn’t know that cyclist can also have sound system on the bicycle. Check out this one, four woofers on the back, set of speakers at the front and back and at the handle should be the player and LCD. I think he needs a better rear wheel, it is flatten.

Lamborghini Reventon vs. Tornado Fighter Jet

The new Lamborghini Reventon has gone for a race with the Tornado fighter jet on a 3000-meter runway. But unfortunately, the Reventon didn’t manage to win the jet. The fighter jet is powered by a twin Turbo-Union RB199 engines combine to make 39,332 horsepower at sea level. Hopefully there will be video coming out on this. Check out the pictures after the jump. Nokia N95's Accelerometer Control RC Car

What Nokia N95 can do besides giving you the communication function and the 5.0-megapixel shooter? Do you all know that the N95 has a built-in accelerometer sensor? This is what it can do, controlling an RC car. Andreas Jakl and Stephan Selinger have launched a ShakerRacer project which enabled RC car to be controlled via Nokia N95 using the sensor. They modified the RC car to accept Bluetooth instead of the proprietary wireless module which an RC car came with, and they also add in a microcontroller. On the mobile phone, a Python script translates the input of the acceleration sensor to commands the microcontroller in order to manage the steering servo and the main motor. Here’s the RAmos new announced RM970 portable media player. It is 2GB device that comes with a 3-inch display with 480 x 272 resolutions, a 200MHz ARM7 processor with a 200MHz Rockchips DSP, and an iPod-type split-screen menu system. The equipped dual 200MHz chips support MP3, WAV, WMA, Ogg, FLAC, AAC, APE, MPEG4, Real, AVI and NES emulation. The RAmos RM970 is available now in Asian markets. No words on the pricing and availability.

Simroid the Robotic Dental Patient

Dentist training now come to more advanced. The novice dentists will soon get the practice on Simroid, a robotic dental patient. Simroid was shown at the 2007 International Robot Exhibition in Tokyo. The bot can follow spoken instruction, closely monitor a dentist’s performance during mock treatments, and react in a human-like way to mouth pain. This is going to help dental trainees learn how to communicate with the patients. One more cool stuff about this bot will be sensors, she can simulate a gagging reflex incase the dentist inserts the dental instruments too far into her mouth. Read more…
