Kenwood GD55 and GD50

Kenwood has released two new Media Keg design in Japan, the GD55 and GD50. They both come with 1GB/2GB of storage, a 4-line OLED display, a USB mass storage mode and support for MP3 or DRM’d WMA audio playback. A fully charged will gives you 21 hours of playback. The 1GB and 2GB are priced 15,000 Yen ($130) each and 12,000 Yen ($105) respectively and both will be available starting next month.

    You’ll be able to enhance these frames pretty a bit by incorporating some gussets and a continuous weld in between the skip welds in the c-channel halves. Certainly not up to “modern” standards, but not negative for your early 60s structure.
