Philips has announced their latest LCD, the Philips Aurea (42PFL9900D). This LCD comes together with Ambilight that glows through the case border, creating a help minimize the visible speaker components. Aurea has a 42″ screen, featuring 1080p resolution with 8000:1 dynamic contrast and increased refresh rates. Aurea will be display at the IFA later this month. Philips Aurea ( 42PFL9900D) with Ambilight will be available next month September for $6895.
