Oki Electric has finalized Iris Recognition Technology for mobile with the release of version 1.0 package. This technology requires a camera with minimum of 1-megapixel camera, 2-megapixel is recommended. The security system has developed for mobile phone with Windows Mobile and Symbian OS.

This technology is based on OKI’s original iris recognition algorithm using standard optical cameras that are equipped in mobile terminals.
