Yes, now you can charge batteries via your computer USB. Sanyo has developed a new “eneloop” USB charger set. This will be the first battery charger from Sanyo that utilizes a USB connector and it comes with two AA size “eneloop” batteries. It will take about 280 minutes for fully charge a pair of AA size and 120 minutes for AAA size batteries. Charging speed will be doubled if only one battery charges.

The USB cable can be stored in the charger making it convenient to bring around. The Sanyo “eneloop” USB charger measures 93×47x17.5 mm and weighs 48g. It will be available from May 21st 2007.

“Eneloop” is a concept based on recycling energy like the Sanyo “eneloop” which can be recharged and used for over 1000 times.
