Nokia 5700 XpressMusic

Nokia announced their latest 3G phone the Nokia 5700 XpressMusic. This music phone has a twistable phone like the Nokia 3250. It comes with a 2.0 megapixel camera, an integrated MP3 player, video calling capability, and smartphone functionalities. Other features include a microSD slot, stereo A2DP Bluetooth support, and high quality built-in speakers. This music phone will be available in Europe for €350 in the next quarter.

A passer-by notified police after seeing bank notes floating down the Sakai River – a river located on border between Tokyo and Kanagawa prefecture. The police used fishing nets and scoop up 2.7 million yen which is about $23,000 mysterious cash. Police managed to catch 270 soggy 10,000-yen (US$85; €64) bills, Japan’s biggest denomination, the official said. The Japan police are still investigating where the money from and why it was dumped. Wow.

The Gearbox Radio

More radios, we have seen the mouse radio yesterday and today we got the manual gearboxes with FM radio. As you can see there are no buttons so everything will be controlled using the knob, shifting gears up and down for adjusting volume or change station. It will be fun for those car fans but for those who just want to listen to radio will definitely get annoyed by shifting the gears, haha. No words on pricing and availability.

Here’s the Kyocera M1000 messaging handset unveiled at CTIA. It comes in a fold open layout and has a dual display. Unfortunately, it only has an internal display that measures 1.8-inch which is pretty small for a messaging handset. 262k color TFT screens for both external and internal displays, the external will be in 128 x 128 resolutions while the internal one will be 160 x 120 pixels. The phone comes with a 1.3-megapixel camera for your photos and videos, Bluetooth connectivity and Java support. No words on pricing and availability.
