Im interested in the Dubao 728 mobile pda phone.
Im just thinking about the synchro. Is it possible to synchronize at least the phone number list with PC or Mac ?
Is there any software for it ?

i don think they provide any software for sync. but phone number can be store in SIM card right. But maybe there is a software for it but i think is hard to find cuz it’s a china mobile. You planning to get one of this Dubao 728?

I lost the back cover of my cellphone dubao 728.

Is there any possible way i can get a new casting for it ,

as it looks very odd without it and i feel really bad because i cant find a casting for it

I don’t think you can find any driver this phone. You mean there’s no CD include when you got the phone?

Dear All,

I just got this DUBAO TWIN CARD phone and I have the same problem as Sam: the phone can’t operate with the SLAVE SIM card. I can’t make or receive calls, but the phone propoerly identifies the network(s).

Please help, if anyone knows how to get this fixed.

if you need to put pics or music in then turm the phone off and plug it into your pc. it will show up like a harddrive. use mass storage setting.

can somebody please tell me if i can make the text message keyboard bigger?
it is hard for me to read.

also is it possible to stop it from locking so quickly all the time?
i cannot find anything in the manual about it.

Don’t know if any of you managed to sort out your problems yet but I have just got a 728+ and find that the instructions are not a lot of help (although they are better than most translations) so have had to keep playing with the phone and have found the following:

For USB connection you can only connect to a PC (not a Mac) with Windows2000 or XP. It needs a driver for lower operating systems but don’t know where you get this from.

The time it takes to lock the keypad can be adjusted:
Go to Menu/Settings/Auto Keypad Lock and change the timing (choices are 5 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute and 5 minutes.

If only one SIM is working it may be that one is switched off:
Go to Settings in the Menu; then Dual Mode Set; then Set DG Mode.
(There is also the choice of Only Master Mode or Only Slave Mode).

If this does not resolve problem then your SIM card may not be compatable. I could not get my O2 card to work properly but T-Mobile seems to work OK except that I cannot send SMS (Text) messages.

I can receive texts on both SIMs and can send messages with the SIMs in other phones, but cannot send from the Dubao 728+.

When I try it asks for the SC (service centre) number which I put in but when I press OK nothing happens. Does any one know if I am doing something wrong or if the phone is faulty?

i got a dubao 728 cell phone one week ago
i search the web for its specification and i found that it is a korean cell phone and it has a 1.3MP camera however i dont think so
i think it is a chinese cell phone and and it has a VGA camera

when i went to dealer and he checked the phone both sim cards works properly but due to some scart on its body i changed it but 5 days later when i wanted to use two sim cards i have problems with two different operator and slave sim card was absent but when i tried two sim card from one operator the slave was in emergency mode i dont know what can i do

however it dosent need any driver when you plug it to pc a message appear and ask you for using this as mass storage or modem)GPRS) if you want to link it with PC the mobile will automaticly turned off and you can see your external flash card like a cool disk you can copy move and make directories on it
after you discoonect it from PC turn it on and you can see your desired stuff on phone
if you cant send SMS with this phone you can change the SCaddress of profile in the message setting option
if you restored the factory default and your phone changed to chineses you must be a pilot to fix this problem bcs you must have blind flight
first you touch the sign in the position which you saw menu previusly then choose the sign of gear and wrench on the buttom of the screen then choose the upper left sign wich has also gear and wrench then choose the third line from the top and then choose line no 3 you can see the ENGLISH at the top of the screen
i couldnt find any other language except english and two east asian language

and at the end please help me if you find the setting for working two sim at the same time ( except the DG mode setting ) and i agree to aby to make a group of bubao users

my phone is a little different from the picture above i think my phone is 728+ it has 3 key instead of the shape i saw above
my phone has 94K internal memory and a sign of MP3/4 PLAYER and it has negativ color of the phone above

also using the dubao 728 right now.had it for some time but its just recently i found this forum.
pretty funny cause i only use one sim at a time,tried using two only when i first had it.mine worked perfectly fine,can use both sim card slot.
i am from singapore.the phone had no problems working with local telco sim cards.

The Dubao 728+ will only use a 02 sim card as the master, it will not work as a slave, this applies to pre 3G or 3G sim cards. The slave can be a T mobile, vigin or in my case a vodafone sim. hope this helps

I have a pda dubao 728+ , till last week the two sims work very well but suddenly the slave sim stopped its function with the following message ” emergency only ” , after it the message chanded to “the slave sim is absent ” . ok found out a lot about the dubao 728 phone by accident to use the phone with windows simple go to device manager and disable pci to usb enhanced controller now when you do this it will want to reboot so do this (if you have a optic mouse you will have to use your tab key and space bar keyboard to navigate back to device manager and enable it again and disable it and the mouse will work it will come up as a removable hard drive with all its folders in it and you can copy music films pictures sound waves etc.
that’s why there is no software for it it is usb 1.1 not 2.0 that’s the way around it enjoy

Id like to say thanks to hussam as i had this problem, was working fine then just changed language and went emergency use only. I have now got it back to english (thanks hussam) but still wont come of emergency use only.
