Vertu is selling its new Signature Cobra phone for a whopping $310,000. It’s expensive not because of any special function of the phone but the material that is used for making this Cobra phone. This Signature Cobra is covered by a gold cobra that is crusted with one pear cut diamond, one round diamond, two emeralds eyes and 439 rubies. $310,000 for a mobile phone? Wow, with $310,000 I can get myself a house.


Vertu is apparently an independently run and fully owned subsidiary of Nokia. Only eight orders will be taken and 26 Signature Cobras will be made, which I take to mean only eight can order but they can buy several phones each if they desire.
