World’s Thinnest Speaker

December 8th, 2006

Here’s the world’s thinnest speaker from Panasonic at just 1.5mm-thick. The PED (Panasonic Electronic Device) cutting its previous 2.5mm thin micro-speaker by 40%. According to Panasonic, this speaker will still boast the same great sound quality you’ve come to expect from a speaker the size of a postage stamp. It’s intended for use in mobile phones and it will go into production May 2007.
