September 2nd, 2006

Wanted a tattoo, afraid your parents see it? No worry, there’s new technique now of making your tattoo inactive in the day. The new technique uses blacklight reactive ink which is reactive to UV light. Is the ink safe to use on body? Yup, they said that it has FDA approval as a Spectral Marking [tattoo] Pigment that was developed for use in tracking [tattooing] animals and fish and has been tested and used with NO adverse reaction in humans for over 10 years. Get one of this tattoo and have fun in the dark, don’t let your parents got their UV light.

I’ve heard that this ink is NOT SAFE by my local tattoo artist. I was interested in getting a glow in the dark tattoo myself until I found out that not many artist use this type of ink because it had previously led to cases of SKIN CANCER. I would not recommend anyone getting a tattoo with this type of ink.

True also. I believe that, it’s a chemical.

Actually, they don’t glow in the dark at all. This specific tattoo only reacts to black light. Also they ARE safe ONLY if you use very specific brands of ink (such as Chameleon). Other brands contain everglow which is very much toxic. Just be sure you are using the proper type of ink and you’re fine!

Yeah, the ink something like the highlighter pen that we glow if you shine the UV light on it

Wow. So far, no one has completely used proper grammar. Anywhere. (Myself included, for using sentence fragments…) Not to mention spelling either. Hey, you. Yes, you, person reading this post. Don’t listen to any of this. Nothing here is reliable. Haha, I just created a paradox. Go ask your local tattoo artist for more reliable info.
