The small GPS unit, the 4inch-tall Acer e310 GPS device which runs on Microsoft Windows CE is just about the size of an iPod. It comes with 2.8-inch 320×240 touchscreen, mp3 player, photo viewer, address book, SD/MMC memory slot, and of course its GPS function. It’s said to deliver four hours of navigation time or eight hours of other uses such as playing music. Pricing and availability has not been announced.

    These Acer Green LCDs only has a pretty good 10,000:1 contrast ratio, pretty common 5ms response time and 300cd/m2 brightness rating.

    It’s always interesting to look back at products several years later. Who would have thought that Apple would have taken over much of the phone market (along with Blackberry).

    I know Acer as a computer manufacturer (being in the computer repair business), but didn’t know they forayed into the phone market. I think these days they should stick to computer stuff.
