PQI : 4GB SDHC and 8Gb CompactFlash 120x Card

Since the launching of Computex Taipei 2006, PQI has a show on the new SD 2.0, 8GB CompactFlash 120x card and their upgrade of miniSD storage capacity. PQI had finally offers a 512MB miniSD card and they had shift in SD card specification from 1.0/1.1 to the new SD 2.0. By supporting FAT32 format, the SD 2.0 cards have a maximum capacity of 32GB and its transfer rates are classified into Class 2 (2MB/sec), Class 4 (4MB/sec) and Class 6 (6MB/sec).

For SD 2.0 capacities 2GB and less are all backwards compatible with SD 1.0/ 1.1 specifications. When capacities reach 4GB and above, the new SD 2.0 cards will be named SD High Capacity (SDHC) by SDA. No words on the availability and pricing yet.
