DV182 : New Camcorder from DigiGR8
We has just received this new released smallest DV182 camcorder from DigiGR8 which hits Malaysia market not long ago. It features a 3.1 mega pixels camera, 2.0 megapixel COMS sensor with super resolution up to 2048 x 1536 pixels, 4x digital zoom, 320 x 240 pixels of video clip, 1.5-inch TFT LCD, 10.8mm lens and an extra memory card slot which supports SD and MMC. It does not have any internal memory which is quite bad. Only two file format are supported, JPEG and AVI. More info and pictures after the jump.
It also offers a audio/video out for TV playback and a USB connection slot for easy file transfer. Besides having it to take video or still image, it also functions as a webcam for your computer which is compatible for Skype, MSN and other video calling software. It comes with Arcsoft Photo Impression, Arcsoft Video Impression and Am Cap software.
For capturing still image, it does have a shuttle speed of 1/15 to 1/4000 seconds. Focus range is about 0.7mm~Infinity. Powered by 1 AA alkaline batteries and it weight only 110gram (without battery) with dimensions of 85×40x68mm.
Besides the DV182, it also comes with a camera bag, USB connector cable. AV cable, strap, installation CD and of course a user guide manual. This smallest, lightweight and compact design DV182 only cost USD53. Should be the cheapest camcorder around.

The price that i put in post is USD 53 around RM194(My friend bought it from shop i’m not sure where izit, not mistaken is in Kuala Lumpur). You can get it at moresales.com.my. Unfortunately they are selling it for RM249 (limited stock) – 30 days warranty.
There’s one more at tmnetmall.com.my. They selling more expensive, RM325 but with 90 days warranty.

HI, IHAVE BEEN WONDERING ABOUT THE VIDEO QUALITY AND SOUND OF THIS DV182 MINI CAMERA. DOES ANYONE KNOW? IS IT LIKE A REGULAR TAPE MINI DV CAMERA?
POOR QUALITY THE NEXT GET RID OF ITEM GOIMG ON EBAY DRIVERS IS THE MAIN PROBLEM AFTER THAT ITS JUST POOR QUALITY
Agree totally with JOSEPH FORBES , this is a toy, not to be confused with a real quality cam,drivers are useless, search the internet for a better driver to get it to recognize,after that Audio is like talking in a tin can,video is approx 2mp qual on highest setting.surprisingly only thing i see good is the snapshots it takes are usable.DO NOT put a sd card larger then 1 gig in it.It will immediately format it to a 1 gig for you(Learned hard way)Bought off ebay for $49US,$35 shipping, will not take it back, figures.GREAT TOY for your 8 year old to play with his buddies,do not expect more from this plastic junk.

Hi Having problems working with this camera. Could any one help me. It says error “Directory is full” what to do? and also, if i preview a picture or a video after shooting for the first time it is there and if i try to see the same picture and video clip for the second time it is totally blank. What could be the problem. Also I’m unable to install the drivers from CD on win-XP and work. Kindly help me.
