Fostex Japan has announced cone shaped mini speakers. The speakers have to be installed on a plane surface like a table, and using high speed vibrations turns the surface into a speaker. The speaker produces an output of 3 watts and comes with 3.5mm mini stereo jack. The unit is powered by an AC adapter, it measures 99×90mm and weighs 2 kg. The Fostex speakers are available in Japan for 16,000 Yen (USD143)
