Mitsubishi Japan has announced the play edition of the “i” eye car. The Play edition comes with a slot for inserting the iPod Nano once connected you can control the Nano from the navigation screens touch panel. The “i” comes with a navigation system which has a 7″ touch screen and a 30 GB hard drive. Pic and indo after the jump.

However you cannot play audio and video files via the hard drive. It also has a CD player which can play CD-R/RW discs but does not support MP3 discs. This is really interesting you have a choice of two colors Pearl White and Black which you can choose depending on your iPods color. The car comes with total six speakers, 4 speakers in the back / front and 2 front tweeters.

The Mitsubishi “i” also comes with a built an analog TV tuner. The “i” is powered by a 0.66L DOHC, 12 valve 3 cylinder engine and 4 gear A/T. The car will be available in Japan from May 17 with the 2WD going for 1,585,500 Yen (USD 14,500) and 4WD for 1,711,500 Yen (USD 15,650).
